ReplyDeleteKaren @ a little kinder told me so!
Those little containers are good for dice too to keep them from going all over the place.

I love your idea for the small plastic containers! That is awesome. You always need something little to put individual manipulatives in. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the supportive comments ladies! It makes me feel better for buying so many packages of containers. I DID see a few of these containers at my local Dollar Tree store yesterday. Stop by the food storage section and (hopefully) stock-up!
ReplyDeleteTammy, you can purchase them online. They were not available online last I checked, but if you call the number sometimes they will be available over the phone. Type in the code #16181.
Oh my gosh, I'm so jealous of all of those!!! Great idea to stock up! :)

I bought the mini containers, too! I have some from a few years ago with a blue lid, and they're more square than these... but I use them to hold the bands for the geo-boards!
ReplyDeletemy friend Becky has all of her tiny craft supplies in them!
This really makes me want to go to the Dollar Tree RIGHT now! haha
ReplyDeleteGood finds :)
I am doing bucket fillers next year! Not sure if I am using actual buckets or library sleeves yet! Have to see what kind of room I have and where it will be in my room!

Fantastic First Grade
We are bucket fillers too! I just made a bulletin board with library pockets. I just didn't have space for buckets. I would love to see how you use them/store them! And I absolutely love the bins!
ReplyDeleteThe Sweet Life of Third Grade
So jealous of your book containers from Dollar Tree! I bought a bunch of these last year to organize my books and now I need some more...only I can't find any!! I could use about 14 of them too!
ReplyDeleteLove those little containers! I actually bought a bunch of (yikes!) urine specimen containers at our army surplus store (they were 10 cents each and I bought ALL that they had!) to use for storing manipulatives in the kids desks. :)
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and am LOVING it! Thanks for all of your great ideas!

I love bucket filling!! We do bucket fillers using library pockets. At Open House I give each child a small bucket (with his/her name on it) to bring home so that they have a place to keep the bucket fillers they get from their classmates & teachers. When they get the bucket at Open House there is a bucketfiller in it from each of the adults that work in the classroom. I get the buckets from Oriental Trading.
ReplyDeleteDeb- That is hilarious. You definitely get the resourcefulness award! Nice to hear bucket filling has been a success. I am excited to try it out=)
